Big Lots Recalls Metal Futon Bunk Beds
Big Lots is voluntarily recalling nearly 30,000 of these futon bunk beds due to the hazard they pose to children. In March 2010, a child became trapped when the metal bed was being lowered from sitting to laying down. The child was stuck and couldn't breathe. CPR was performed, but the child died due to compression asphyxiation. The bunk beds also pose problems.
